They were brought to the Specialized Economic Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat by an entrepreneur from the city of Gummet-kovus, the Iranian border province of Gulistan, Pigammarguly Saadat Nejat. Ethnic Turkmens live in this province and there is the resting place of the great genius Magtymguly Pyragy and his father, the classical poet and scientist Dovletmammet Azady.

The entrepreneur said that he had been familiar with carpet weaving since childhood - carpets were woven both at his house and at his neighbours. Now we have 38 years of successful business behind us, in which more than a thousand Turkmen carpet weavers are employed. They make about a hundred types of carpets, differing in ornament and colour scheme.

In addition to traditional Turkmen carpets with gels, he brought to the exhibition double-sided silk carpets with various ornaments. Among the pavilions with samples and models of equipment and technology for various sectors of the economy, stands with industrial and consumer goods, these carpets attracted the eyes of visitors with their silky shine and play of colors, as if inviting them to a world of pure beauty and cozy comfort.

The products of the Iranian company «Turkmen Saadet» are popular not only in Iran, where they are sold through their representatives in large cities of various provinces, but also outside the country. According to the entrepreneur, Turkmen carpets made in Iran are exported to Japan, Germany, Italy, where they are in demand among connoisseurs of luxurious, exclusive handicrafts.

Pigammarguly repeatedly came to Turkmenistan to participate in the annual national holiday - the Day of the Turkmen Carpet, museum exhibitions and received several diplomas. During these trips, business ties were also established with Turkmen entrepreneurs.
