The Higher Language School of Turkmenistan organizes an Olympiad in the Russian language for students

The Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azady invites students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan to participate in the II Olympiad in the Russian language «The wealth of the language is the wealth of the people».

The Olympiad will be held on the 7th of April this year in a remote format on the educational portal of the Institute. Registration of participants will be held from the 25th to 31st of the March.

No more than five students from each university can take part in the Olympiad. The competition will be held in the form of testing, within which the participants will be given 10 tasks and 60 minutes to complete them. Test tasks are identical in content and complexity for all participants - students specializing in the study of the Russian language in universities or mastering it as a second foreign language.

The winners and prize-winners of the competition of experts in the Russian language, who scored the most points according to its results, will be awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees.

The Student Olympiad is held as part of the implementation in Turkmenistan of the Concept for Improving the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System.

The competition for knowledge of the Russian language is organized with the aim of developing and improving skills, assessing the level of knowledge of students in the subject, identifying the most talented, creatively gifted, capable participants, as well as stimulating interest in the further study and popularization of the Russian language as a language of interethnic communication.
