In its regular newsletter, the Turkmen Logistics Association announces the participation of Turkmen specialists in the meeting of the Working Group on container transportation.

The event was devoted to the discussion of the factors hindering the development of container transportation in international traffic and was held with the participation of a wide range of relevant government departments and large transport enterprises of the Russian Federation, China, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Japan, Hungary.

Association "Turkmen Logistics" and its members took part in the meeting at the invitation of the Secretary General of the International Coordinating Council for Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT).

In his speech, the representative of the Turkmen Logistics Association noted the growing role of Turkmenistan in international transport corridors and transit cargo transportation, noting the growth in cargo traffic along the eastern branch of the North-South ITC. The participants of the meeting were also presented the capacity of the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi and all the favorable conditions created in our country for multimodal container transportation.

Earlier, in his speech at the Turkmen-Tatarstan business forum, Rustam Seyidov, the deputy of the rare Turkmen Logistics Association, noted that in order to create additional cargo traffic along the North-South external transport corridor, a project is being implemented to create a logistics center of Turkmenistan on the territory of the port economic zone in Astrakhan region, from where cargoes are sent to all regions of Russia, including Tatarstan.
