Farmers of Dashoguz velayat are getting ready for cotton sowing, where the sowing campaign starts a little later than in other regions of the country due to climatic conditions.

A large number of the specialized agricultural machinery - tractors of various brands, seeders, cultivators, and other units, including a large number of modern high-performance tractors of “John Deere” brand, eight-row seeders of “Monosem” company, is fully prepared for a responsible agro-technical campaign.

This year, in the northern region, the cotton wedge is 140,000 hectares, from which it is planned to get 275,000 tons of "white gold". Akdepe etrap, S. Turkmenbashi etrap and Boldumsaz etrap will be among the largest producers of valuable raw materials in the region.

The basis of the harvest will be time-tested, the most optimal in local climatic conditions and meeting the needs of the textile industry, including in terms of strength and average fiber yield, medium-fiber varieties of cotton "Daşoguz-120", "Daşoguz-114", "Gubadag-3", "Jeýhun", "S4727", "F149", "Ýolöten-39". Prepared by cotton ginning enterprises located in the region, all seed material was tested in the laboratories of the relevant services for compliance with the specified parameters for germination class, varietal purity, usefulness of seeds and others, processed for reliable protection against diseases, pests and weeds. All the necessary organizational measures have been taken to ensure the coordinated interaction of all the structures involved in the sowing campaign, which will make it possible to timely carry out the entire range of sowing operations that are important for obtaining a rich harvest.
