Representatives of the country's transport sector gathered in the building of the «Turkmenawtoulaglary» Agency to discuss issues of further increasing the volume of multimodal transit cargo transportation.

As reported on the website of the Association «Turkmen Logistics», the participants of the meeting were informed about the conditions for granting discounts by the state enterprise «Turkmenulaggozegchilik» («Transinspection») when issuing international waybills and permits for truck owners to transport goods from third countries to Turkmenistan and loading of cargo onto a vehicle in the territory of Turkmenistan.

This measure, as well as the previously reduced fees from foreign vehicles entering the railway stations or freight yards of Turkmenistan, was taken in order to actively use the capabilities of railway stations and freight yards at the checkpoints across the state border of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the meeting also visited a private cargo yard built by the member company of the Association - ES «Halkara Türkmen Logistik» near the customs post «Artyk» of Ahal velayat. The recently opened 7.5-hectare terminal houses truck parking areas, container and railway areas, warehouses, a hangar for reloading goods into wagons and administrative buildings.

ES «Halkara Türkmen Logistik» has its own fleet of 2 thousand wagons, as well as cargo yards at the border crossings in Sarakhs and at the Turkmenbashy International Seaport. Representatives of «Halkara Türkmen Logistik» invited all interested parties to cooperate in the use of these loading and unloading cargo yards. The services provided by «Halkara Türkmen Logistik» in the field of rail, sea and air cargo transportation meet today's logistics requirements in various sectors.
