The number of etraps of the Lebap velayat, which have fulfilled their contractual obligations to hand over a silk cocoon to the state, is growing. Charjev, Sayat and Danev etraps undertake to fulfill the plan in a timely manner and hand over 261, 185.5 and 140 tons of silkworm cocoon to the country's bins, respectively.

It is glad that for the first time in the velayat, the tenant silkworm farmer Gozel Nazargylyzhova of the Kerki etrap farming association "Hatap" handed over 44 kilograms of silkworm cocoons to the collection points. This season in the velayat, contracts were signed with more than 21,000 silkworm tenants, and 25,250 boxes of silkworm cocoons were distributed to tenants. Cocoon collection continues to this day.

All the necessary measures have been created in the region for the proper care of silk cocoons. Experienced tenants-silk farmers were selected for this responsible work. As a result of the tireless care and all-round support of the specialists of the “Lebapwelaýatýüpek” production association, a large number of silk cocoons have been produced in the velayat. This year, the sericulture of the eastern region plans to hand over 1,010 tons of cocoons to the state.
