Today, on the occasion of the International Children's Day celebrated in Turkmenistan, a festive celebration was held at the «Döwletliler köşgi» Palace, during which the pupils of the Palace were presented with gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and public organizations.

The children greeted the guests with great enthusiasm and joy, preparing a bright song and dance performance. A festive atmosphere reigned everywhere - music sounded, an exhibition of children's artworks unfolded.

The young owners of the Palace expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Hero-Arkadag for their all-round care and attention, thanks to which they can live happily, look to the future with confidence and realize their dreams.

In the Palace, children acquire not only knowledge, but also various professions that allow them, after graduating from school, to boldly step into adulthood. All conditions for the all-round harmonious development of children are created here: they learn the world of fine arts and music, go in for sports sections and circles.

Many pupils are winners of prestigious creative competitions and international festivals held in Turkmenistan and abroad, including the winners of the children's competition named after Gulbaba, «Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri».

As part of educational programs, they study foreign languages with great enthusiasm, in their free time they read books that help them make amazing discoveries in the world of knowledge.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his Address on the occasion of the international holiday, emphasized: «Children are our pride, joy in every home, magnificent flowers of our wonderful life and its continuation. Therefore, we are successfully implementing targeted programs so that our happy children, who live happily in joy and prosperity in their native land, have a good rest, study, create and become educated, erudite, physically strong and educated people devoted to their Fatherland».

As noted in the message of the head of state, thanks to the far-sighted undertakings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, an optimal state system has been formed to support the family, protect motherhood and childhood, raise and educate the younger generation.

The inclusion of the International Children's Day in the list of significant dates of the national calendar is an expression of our country's commitment to the fundamental criteria of the Community of Nations in relation to the rights and interests of the younger generation.

Having ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations, Turkmenistan is closely and fruitfully cooperating with one of the largest specialized UN agencies - UNICEF, in fact demonstrating high responsibility in providing optimal living conditions for its young citizens.

Pupils of the Palace convincingly demonstrated that, while absorbing the richness of the national heritage, drawing inspiration and fresh ideas from it, they are also open to everything new and interesting.

The event continued with the performance of pop artists and masters of the arts of the country. In honor of the holiday, to the great joy of the participants of the celebration, a huge cake was presented.

In commemoration of the International Children's Day, festive events were organized in all regions of the country, which became another evidence of the socially oriented state policy of Turkmenistan, based on the primordial high moral traditions of the Turkmen people and enduring universal values.
