The discussion of methods for conducting research on pasture lands became the main topic of the round table, which was held in Ashgabat.

The event was organized by the United Nations Development Program for representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the National Institute of Deserts, Flora and Fauna. It is provided within the framework of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems of high natural value in the Aral Sea basin for obtaining numerous benefits".

The participants got acquainted with the modern methodology of conducting research of pasture lands in pilot projects of the region.

The study of the current state and use of pastures is carried out to determine the nature of the further use of each site, to develop measures for improvement and arrangement of their territory. In the process of completing the task, the area of forage land arrays and the nature of their further use are specified.

At the same time, the distance from livestock farms, water sources and water supply conditions are being studied.
