«Türkmen ýüpek» Joint Stock Venture of the Ministry of Textile Industry developed the programme of annual campaign for production of cocoons, according to which it is planned to receive 2 030 tons in 2017 where 155 tons in Ahal Velayat, 25 tons in Balkan Velayat, 485 tons in Dashoguz velayat, 960 and 405 tons in Lebap and Mary Velayats accordingly.

For provision of processing enterprises with valuable material, sale of production for local consumption and export, it is planned to expand forage base of mulberry tree plantations, provide the producers with quality silkworms and efficient technologies of breeding of silkworms.
