The venue of the inclusive festival was the capital's Park of Culture and Recreation "Ashgabat". Representatives of various public organizations, youth, volunteers, children and their parents gathered here on Saturday afternoon to show their skills and talents in a creative atmosphere, according to the motto of the event: "We are different – we are equal."

The territory of the park was divided into several thematic zones: sports and entertainment, informative and cognitive, musical and creative. Art paintings, soft toys, handicrafts and handmade products made by people with disabilities were presented at the creativity stands.

Taking part in various games and quizzes, people with disabilities could feel more confident and comfortable. Each guest of the festival could take part in a drawing contest on asphalt, a chess tournament and a sports relay. The most active children received prizes and memorable gifts with the festival symbols. The final chord of the event was a music and dance concert.

It should be noted that the festival "We are different – we are equal" is held in Ashgabat for the second time. It promotes the formation of an inclusive culture in society, and gives every talented child the opportunity to feel successful and go on the big stage.

The event was held with the support of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan.

The event was organized by the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan and the UN Office for Human Rights in Central Asia together with civil society organizations as part of a global initiative dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
