The «Tebigy ekin» farm is laying the foundations for a new harvest

Over the last year, farmers from «Tebigy ekin» farms produced more than 5 thousand 418 tons of potatoes from 387 hectares of agricultural land, about two thousand tons of onions were planted on 69 hectares, and more than 3 thousand tons of cabbage were produced from 150 hectares of land. In addition, a high yield of garlic, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and other garden products was obtained.

The produced products were offered to customers in markets and shops in the city of Turkmenabat, the rest was transferred to the «Miwe» Agro-Industrial Association of Lebap velayat. With the arrival of spring, farm farmers strive to lay the foundation for a new harvest. Currently, 350 hectares of cultivated land have yielded good potato yields. At the moment, the farm has 7 hectares of cabbage and 20 hectares of onions planted. In the near future, it is planned to plant vegetables and garden crops on the farm.

Despite the fact that the farm specializes in the production of vegetable and garden products, in order to improve land reclamation, 116 hectares of cotton and 190 hectares of grain crops were sown last year.

It should be noted that the technical base of «Tebigy ekiniň» is also being strengthened. Now 9 John Deere 6175M tractors, 3 excavators and 2 water carriers are used here all year round. The farm has also introduced more efficient irrigation methods. For example, artificial rain irrigation of crop fields can significantly save water. To irrigate agricultural land using this method, a sprinkler device from the Turkish company «Apdent» was purchased, which allows irrigating 7 hectares of land in one working day. In the near future, it is planned to build a refrigerated warehouse, the operation of which will allow the city residents to offer fresh products at any time of the year.
