The Energy University of Turkmenistan invites students to the CyberHack hackathon competition

The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan invites students of secondary vocational and higher educational institutions of the country to take part in the intellectual hackathon competition "CyberHack".

The competition will be held from April 26 to 27 in an online format. One team consisting of three participants from each educational institution can participate in the hackathon. The topic of the student competition is "Software implementation of cryptographic methods of information protection in a digital environment."

Based on the topic, the hackathon's work will be aimed at testing students' skills in the field of target software development. The teams will be given from 3 to 5 hours to complete the tasks, taking into account their level of complexity.

Those wishing to participate in the hackathon must submit an application with information about the participants and their supervisor by April 10 and send it to the institute's e-mail tdei@tdei.edu.tm or abdyyewjuma@gmail.com . A sample application for participation is posted on the official website of the Institute tdei.edu.tm in the Olympiad section.

During the competition, the members of the judging panel will evaluate the students' working methods, technological literacy of each type of activity, timeliness and correctness of the work.

When summing up the results, the jury will evaluate the finished works according to the following criteria: the effectiveness of the completed task using standard cryptographic calculations; the choice of programming language; the availability of open source software and its size; orientation, clarity

The software and the convenience of its use for ordinary users. The jury of the competition will also take into account the quality of the presentations of the participants' works.

The winners of the hackathon, who received the I, II and III places, will be awarded with certificates of honor and valuable gifts.

The objectives of the competition are to create new software for various purposes, identify ways to improve the performance of existing software, ensure cybersecurity in a modern digital environment, as well as improve the quality of professional training for students, educate high-level specialists capable of generating and implementing new ideas and digital solutions, skillfully apply innovative technologies, think broadly and solve complex problems independently.
