A three-day intensive course on improving media and information literacy and fact-checking, organized as part of the «Turkmenistan Media Literacy 2024» program, ended in Ashgabat.

The participants of the training course - teachers of journalism departments, media workers and content creators - tested their professional skills, became familiar with methods of verifying information on the Internet and learned the basic principles of fact-checking. The classes were held under the guidance of experts from the International centre for Journalism MediaNet (Kazakhstan).

Based on the results of the training, intensive graduates developed their own and group multimedia projects in accordance with the theme of the program. The authors of the best concepts for developing digital literacy received grants for project implementation. Upon completion of the training, all participants were awarded certificates.
