Educational sessions for youth on SDGs launched in Turkmenistan

In order to involve student youth of Turkmenistan in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, together with the United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan, launched a series of educational sessions called «TurkmenYouth4SDGs».

The first session took place on the 8th of April, 2024 at the UN Office in Ashgabat.

It was timed to coincide with World Health Day and dedicated to SDG 3: «Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages».

UNDP specialists introduced projects in the field of health care that are being implemented by Turkmenistan and UNDP joint projects on health care in Turkmenistan.

In particular, innovative technologies that are being introduced into the national healthcare system are presented.

Since 2010, UNDP, in collaboration with the Government of Turkmenistan and development partners, has been implementing projects aimed at strengthening the health care system in the country.
