Fascinating railway tour along the route of the Great Silk Road allows foreign travelers to explore the historical landmarks of Central Asian countries. The five-star "hotel" on wheels, traveling from Kazakhstan, runs between the cities of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.

This year, as part of the tour organized by the British tour operator Golden Eagle Luxury Trains, tourists from more than 30 countries, including Hungary, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom and others, visited significant attractions of the Turkmen capital and the city of Mary.

To discover Turkmenistan, an amazing country with ancient history, rich culture, and unique traditions, travelers were assisted by the Turkmen tourism company "Suwara," which provided interesting excursions to the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Central Asia, the Carpet Museum, the Monument of Independence and other notable places in the country.

The most memorable point of the route for foreign guests was the visit to the Darvaza gas crater located in the Garagum Desert.

Currently, Turkmenistan pays special attention to the development of the tourism industry. The activation of cooperation in this direction contributes to establishing business contacts with foreign partners. Thus, at the International Tourism Conference held in March, several documents were signed to promote the development of prospective cooperation between leading Turkmen and foreign tour operators.
