The Grand Hall of the M. Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory hosted a gala concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.

Begench Moshiev, laureate of the "Türkmenistanyň Altyn asyry" award, opened the concert program with a romance written by Nury Halmammedov to the verses of Magtymguly "Farewell to Shirgazi". The end of his studies in Shirgazi was associated with Magtymguly’s sadness, as this lovely corner largely determined the further life of the poet. And Begench Moshiev, with his artistry, subtly conveyed the emotional state of the young man.

Two romances by Nury Halmammedov to the verses of Magtymguly - "Pukarayam" and "Solupdyr agygam bilen" were performed by Bahar Durdyyeva, laureate of the "Türkmenistanyň Altyn asyry" award. Both romances are written in the ancient Turkmen language. In the romance "Pukarayam" there are such words: "In my homeland I am a khan, and abroad I am a stranger."

"Who are you?" - a romance written to the verses of Magtymguly by composer Hydyr Allanurov, was performed by Arzygyul Gylyjova, laureate of the "Türkmenistanyň Altyn asyry" award.

The concert continued with works by Turkmen composers. Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov performed the famous work of Nury Halmammedov "Sounds of the dutar". Once again, the listeners were amazed at how Nury Halmammedov managed to tell about the sounds of the dutar with the keys of the piano. The virtuosity of the pianist was necessary for the composer's idea to be realized. Vladimir Mkrtumov coped with the task set before him perfectly.

Composer Ayna Shirova presented two of her works. Since these works were included in the cycle "From children's album", young pianists were invited to perform them. Aya Ovezova, eighth-grader of the Special Music Boarding School, performed the "Sonatina", Teyla Shirova, fifth-grader of the Ashgabat Music School No. 1, performed the piece "Waiting for Guests". The ending of the second piece was creative: Teyla tapped the piano with her fist - this meant that the guests were already at the doorstep.

The festive song by Chary Nurymov "Toy aydymy" was performed by all the vocalists participating in the concert program.

The concert was organized by the Chamber Ensemble Department, for which the concert was the third in a series of departmental concerts dedicated to the glorious date celebrated this year by all of Turkmenistan and its friendly countries. The concertmasters are international competition laureates Stella Faramazova and Jennet Ataeva.
