The cultural and entertainment centre «The World of Turkmen fairy tales» is one of the most favourite places for children. It is here that you can feel like you are in a magical fairy tale story, meet famous characters and, of course, play in the fresh air.

The State Children's Library named after Bazar Amanov of Turkmenistan organized a tour of the renovated park complex especially for its young readers.

Librarians together with children took an educational walk through the thematic zone «The World of Turkmen wonders», where mini-copies of famous historical and cultural monuments of our country are placed.

This year, the administrative center of the Ahal Velayat – the city of Anev – bears the title of «Cultural Capital of the Turkic world». The library specialists told the children about the historical sights of the Ancient City and its unique heritage.

In addition, this year, which is held under the motto «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi», is marked by the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher of the East Magtymguly Fragi. In order for the children to get to know the personality and work of the classic of Turkmen literature as widely as possible, the librarian told some biographical facts and read excerpts of famous poems of the poet.

In continuation of the «journey», the children went to the indoor park «Mountain of Fairy Tales». The inhabitants of the magical mountain cave are mysterious devas. Nearby can be found find sculptural incarnations of the glutton Bovenjik, the brave Hudayberdi, the beautiful Akpamyk and her seven brothers, as well as other characters from the fairy-tale world.

At the end of the tour, the little readers shared their impressions of the fairy tales they had read and told which works they planned to read in the near future.
