Mulberry plantations of Dashoguz velayat cover more than two thousand hectares

The number of farmers engaged in the silkworm production is steadily growing in Dashoguz velayat. This year, thousands of tenants have signed contracts to obtain raw materials important for the textile industry.

Their growing interest is explained by the favorable working conditions created by the state, including provision of tenants with the timely volume of high-quality silkworm grains, and the presence of a rich fodder base in the industry.

During the responsible campaign on the ground, special attention was paid from the first days to carrying out the process of feeding mulberry silkworm caterpillars in optimal conditions.

In particular, attention was paid to the regulation of temperature and humidity, air exchange, proper lighting in the rearing premises.

Today, the mulberry plantations of the velayat cover more than two thousand hectares. The region has all the necessary conditions for the successful development of the industry, including the presence of dozens of specialized hatcheries. This year, it is again planned to harvest five hundred tons of silkworm cocoons.

The main part will be produced in Shavat etrap and in Akdepe etrap; eighty tons of valuable raw materials for the textile industry are also intended to be supplied by farmers of Gorogly etrap, at least 71 tons by farmers of Boldumsaz etrap.
