The international competition "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" concluded in Ashgabat

Today, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a ceremonial awarding of winners and closing of the international competition "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue", organized by the university jointly with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The competition, which took place from May 22 to 25, involved 250 students from 22 universities of Turkmenistan and 11 foreign universities from 9 countries of Central Asia, the Caspian states, Turkey and China.

The competition was held in the form of individual and team events, in which participants were given tasks in areas such as modeling international negotiations, using information technologies in studying international economic relations, studying global trends in international transport logistics, using mathematics and mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations, and others.

Based on the results of the individual stage of the international competition, participants won 103 medals - 21 gold, 36 silver and 46 bronze. 11 gold medals were awarded to Turkmen students, while 10 were received by students from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, China, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. According to the team results, Turkmen students won 16 medals - 3 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze.

The winners of the international competition were awarded medals and diplomas, as well as certificates of honor from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts from the sponsors of the event.

A number of sponsors - state organizations and private domestic enterprises - provided support in holding the international competition. These included the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the Democratic Party, the Trade Unions, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as well as the companies "Aýdyň gijeler", "Saraýan", "Muhammet Balkan", "Agzybirlik tilsimaty", "Abadan haly", "Awtoýoly", "Täç Hil", "Ak menzil", "Röwşen", "Bir kuwwat", "Altyn tug", "Kämil ussat", "Erkin gurluşyk", "Mary travel", "Halkara audit", "Ýedi dogan", "Bürgüt", "Düwmejik" and "Ada production".

It is important to emphasize that the international competition of this format was held in our country for the first time due to the need to study strategic issues of international relations, deepen students' knowledge in solving tactical problems, reveal their abilities in research activities, as well as widely disseminate ideas of global peace and establish close cooperation with foreign experts. The competition, which brought together participants from different countries, will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening the principles of peaceful international relations, trust and mutual dialogue between countries - the goals of the Resolution "International Year of Peace and Trust, 2025" initiated by Turkmenistan and adopted at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. 

The participants expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the favorable conditions and ample opportunities created in the country for the comprehensive development of international youth cooperation.

Words of deep gratitude were also addressed to the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for organizing and holding the event at a high level, the warm welcome and hospitality shown to the competition participants on the hospitable Turkmen land.  

It was emphasized that the stay in the Turkmen capital left the brightest impressions on the foreign guests, who visited the beautiful sights of the city, the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, historical and cultural monuments, as well as shopping and entertainment centers of Ashgabat.

At the end of the event, the participants noted the high importance and effectiveness of the competition held as an event aimed at achieving positive results in strengthening trusting relations between countries, developing international dialogue and youth cooperation, and promoting cultural diplomacy.
