During the talk, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties noted the increasing dynamics of contacts at the highest level. In this context, the implementation of the agreements reached during the meetings of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran held this year was considered.
The heads of external policy agencies noted the importance of intensifying cooperation between the Foreign Ministries, including the holding of bilateral and multilateral meetings in the near future.
The Ministers emphasized the importance of trade and economic ties between the two countries. Special emphasis was placed on the activities of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation, the 18th successive meeting of which is scheduled to be held before the end of the year.
The sides discussed the development of cultural and humanitarian ties. It was underlined that the cultural sphere is one of the important components of bilateral cooperation.
In this regard, the interlocutors agreed to hold joint events in November-December this year, including “Iran Agro Food” exhibition, Friendship Week of Children, jewelry master classes and others.
