On the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, an exhibition "On Guard of the Blessed Fatherland" has been launched at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
The first visitors are representatives of security agencies, correspondents of newspapers and magazines, among them the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Milli goşun”. One of the first exhibits of the exhibition is a portrait of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and state symbols of the country. Next to the portrait of the grandfather of the President - Berdimuhammed Annaev, who had a glorious path of a front–line soldier and teacher. It is noteworthy that on the eve of the holiday in all the country’s velayats many soldiers received keys to apartments in new houses.
This fact shows that the state treats military personnel in our country with great care. The fact that Turkmenistan is a peace–loving country is eloquently demonstrated by the souvenirs in the exhibition windows. Among them is the Peace Monument with Doves, symbolizing peacefulness. This life-size monument adorns our capital and located between Chandybil and Archabil Avenues. In the current year, called the year of “International peace and trust”, this exhibit has acquired the greatest relevance.
Visitors get acquainted with photographs of military parades under a peaceful sky throughout the exhibition. The photos show the power of the country's Armed Forces. The motherland begins with the border. Turkmen border guard soldiers reliably guard the border territories. One of the exhibits is a gold–plated border guard with alabay dog.
The exhibition with ancient firearms is of particular interest to visitors. Among them is a sharp and smoothbore flint gun, belonging to weapons of the early nineteenth century. The exhibition “On the Guard of the Blessed Fatherland”, artfully prepared by the museum staff, has educational, informative and patriotic significance. Its visit will be interesting for students and high school students, as well as for citizens and guests of the capital of all ages and professions.
