An interdepartmental meeting was held at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of the agencies “Türkmendemirýollary” and “Türkmenawtoulaglary”, OJSC Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan, employees of a number of transport and logistics companies of the country, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, also  customs brokers.

Representatives of the State Customs Service spoke about the measures taken by the agency to simplify customs procedures that will increase trade. Among them – the provision of preliminary information in electronic form, through digital technologies, on goods imported into the territory of Turkmenistan, as well as obtaining the status of an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). Practical examples were presented in this area.

Specialists of the State Customs Service clarified customs procedures for goods exported from Turkmenistan, in particular, on the design of goods crossing the customs border, on the basis of permits of state bodies.

During the meeting, confidence was expressed that the interaction of customs, state regulatory and law enforcement agencies with participants in foreign economic activity would lead to more significant business results.
