Every year, thanks to the constant support of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the share of the private sector in the national economy is growing. Today, domestic entrepreneurs are actively engaged in various industries and in the service sector.

Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan make a significant contribution to the implementation of state programs to increase the production of import-substituting products, increase export volumes, and create an electronic industry. Last year, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs saw a growth rate of 110 percent in agricultural and food production, and 104.1 percent in industrial goods.

It should be noted that compared to last year, the total volume of loans issued by banks to the private sector, individuals, small and medium businesses has increased. This year, it is planned to continue to develop small and medium businesses, to increase the share of the private sector in the GDP structure to 71.6 percent.

At an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to continue issuing loans for projects to develop production of private enterprises and entrepreneurship. The head of state emphasised that further stable growth of the national economy depends on the intensification of private entrepreneurship and instructed to keep the focus on the work carried out to develop the country's non-governmental sector. In this way, domestic entrepreneurship has great prospects, and constantly improving mechanisms of public-private partnership contribute to the successful solution of the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan.
