Initiated by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the National Center of Trade Unions and the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, the contest “Mähre doly eneleriň ýüregi” aims to explore the greatness and beauty of motherhood, emphasizing the important role of women in society and the culture of Turkmenistan.

One of the first performances, titled “Enä tagzym – mukaddeslige tagzym” was presented by the creative team from the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy State Drama Theater of Balkan velayat.

The play is based on the book “Worshipping Mother – Worshipping the Sacred” by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Excerpts from this book of the Hero-Arkadag, brought to life on stage, depict the image of a mother as a gift born from love, embodying the best in humanity.

The dramaturgical basis for the play was written by Bayramsoltan Gurbanova, and it was directed by Ovezmammet Galandarov. Other competition performances were held in theaters across Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary velayats, showcasing plays such as “Ejekejan,” “Altynjan Hatyn,” and “Ynsanlygyň göwher gaşy”.

Starting from February 24, theaters in Ashgabat took over the competition’s baton. The results of the contest will be announced on March 1 on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly.

These new theatrical productions, which reflect the traditions and cultural values of our people, serve as a bridge between the past and present. They help preserve and strengthen spiritual connections to history while contributing to the moral and ethical education of youth.
