Creative meeting with composer Mammetsapar Toyliev

A creative meeting with composer and Honored Cultural Worker of Turkmenistan Mammetsapar Toyliev was held at the Turkmen State Specialized Music School named after Danatar Ovezov. The event brought together students and young musicians who wanted to learn more about the maestro's work and life.

Mammetsapar Toyliev, being a famous composer, is at the same time an outstanding teacher. He actively interacts with the younger generation and young musicians, generously sharing his professional experience and inspiring future specialists to creative achievements.

The host of the event, teacher Lachin Geldieva, conducted a dialogue with Mammetsapar Toyliev, asking questions about his biography and the process of becoming a composer. The conversation was smoothly replaced by musical numbers.

The concert part of the meeting was opened by a performance by the chamber orchestra conducted by Perman Miriev. The composer's famous melodies including "Köýen söýgim", "Lapykeçlik", "Durnam gelipdir", "Bahar buşlukçysy", were performed by the winners of the Presidential Prize "Türkmeniń Altyn asyry" – Ailar Saparmyradova, Begench Mosshiev and Begdurdy Cherkezov.

In continuation of the conversation, Maestro shared his memories of the student years, how in spite  of the difficulties, he chose the musician’s path, having arrived from Dashoguz to Ashgabat.

The students asked questions about which composers he listened to and what inspires him to create new works. Mammetsapar Toyliev noted the importance of organization and diligence in the profession, advising young people to read a lot and develop their skills.

At the end of the meeting, the participants warmly thanked Mammetsapar Toyliev for his wise and inspiring words. They wished him new creative successes and inexhaustible energy in his work. As a sign of appreciation, flowers were given to him.
