The creative team of the Alp Arslan National Drama Theater presented a play at the theater festival "Mother's Heart Full of Love," dedicated to their colleague, People's Artist of Turkmenistan and the USSR, Sabyr Atayeva.

Sabyr Atayeva's fate is akin to a fairy tale. She was born into a large family and became an orphan at an early age. Relatives took in the children, including her, but as the saying goes: "Bread from an aunt is bitter." Unable to endure the mistreatment from her relatives, the young girl exclaimed: "It’s better to grow up in an orphanage than to endure all this." And so, she was taken to an orphanage.

The play "Sabyr Atayeva, " written by Gadam Kakabayev, is based on the actress's biographical details. The director of the production, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Handurdy Berdiyev, decided to honor the memory of this legendary actress and dedicate the play "Sabyr Atayeva" to International Women’s Day on March 8.

The actress's life was embodied in the female characters she brought to life on stage. The play shows Sabyr Atayeva in her dressing room, sitting before a mirror with a poster for "The Bride Comes" nearby. She is called to the stage, and before the audience, a fragment from this production comes alive.

Notably, almost all actors are involved in this production, which essentially represents a "theater within a theater." Set designer Mekan Annamyradov created expressive stage designs for all of the play's scenes.

At the conclusion of the performance, Sabyr Atayeva's daughter and granddaughter came onto the stage to thank all participants and audience members for cherishing the memory of their beloved family member. Following this, a large screen appeared on stage, displaying fragments from the life of this outstanding woman of the Turkmen people. These moments were accompanied by singing from Turkmenistan’s Golden Bass and Honored Artist Tirkesh Matnazarov.
