On the eve of International Women's Day, March 8th, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Babasary Annamyradov dedicated his personal exhibition to the women of Turkmenistan. The exhibition opened at the gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, and its first visitors were students and teachers from the creative institution.

Many kind words were spoken about the author at the solemn opening of the exhibition. The speakers noted Babasary Annamyradov's refined artistic taste and emphasized that the sculptor's creativity serves as an example for young artists of any profile. The exhibition featured a large number of apples, typically "golden" but also wooden, often cut in half. These apples were significantly larger than natural ones and were displayed either separately or complemented other sculptures. It is worth noting that the "golden" apple is Babasary Annamyradov's signature motif. In the Golden Fund of the academy's museum, there is a sculpture of Babasary Annamyradov himself holding a "golden" apple.

The artist explains his fascination with apples through the biblical legend, where the forbidden fruit marked the beginning of life on Earth. The multi-figure sculpture "Running on Waves" dominated among the exhibited works. Three girls, overwhelmed by an extremely joyful event, seem to be running without feeling the ground beneath their feet, eager to deliver this news to their fellow villagers. The excitement of the running girls captivates the viewers. The speed at which they run is so impressive that even the best runners might envy them.

Some viewers interpret this sculpture differently. They see the waves as the water of the Garagum Canal, which came to our arid regions, and the girls symbolize the joy of this event. Babasary Annamyradov listens attentively to all interpretations but maintains a mysterious silence.

At the exhibition, it was noted that the sculptor skillfully conveys very subtle sensations and feelings. In his work "Lovers," an elderly man and woman sit together. Despite their age, there is a lot of unspoken tenderness between them! The sculpture is made from a material resembling old brickwork, which over time crumbles into dust. Perhaps Babasary Annamyradov wanted to convey that there is a love that is not subject to time.

The bust of the artist's mother does not require an information card. The features of the elderly woman's face immediately remind one of Babasary Annamyradov. This resemblance enhances the inner message of the two related personalities. Knowing the artist, we attribute to his mother delicacy, a desire to help, and the ability to understand others.

In addition to sculptures, the author presented an exhibition of portrait sketches, some of which are graphic works. Most of these works are dedicated to the sculptor's muse, art critic Ogulabat Mukhadova. With these works, Babasary Annamyradov expressed his attitude towards his beloved woman, a true friend and partner. Ogulabat, who was present at the exhibition, accepted her husband's creative gesture as the best gift for March 8th.
