The Dashoguz State Power Plant produced over one billion two hundred and eleven million kilowatt hours since the beginning of the year. The energy sector of the region is much ahead of the targets, which makes it possible to predict the over fulfillment of the annual target. Today the electricity generated by the station fully meets the needs of the Dashoguz region and its reductancy is going to the country's power system.
The Dashoguz state power station, which this winter celebrate its decade, is a new generation station operating on natural gas. It is capable for generating more than 1.5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually and is equipped with two gas turbine units of the American company "General Electric", each with a capacity of 127.1 megawatts per hour. Based on the use of one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly fuels, this technology of electric power generation is characterized by economy and minimal impact on the environment. In the future it is planned to increase production capacity by switching to a combined technological cycle.
The construction of the station made possible significantly accelerate the implementation of various state projects for the further development of infrastructure and modernization of the Dashoguz region energy system. Only within the national rural program in the period from 2015 to 2020 will be built 2,166.3 kilometers of electricity. The ongoing reconstruction of existing transmission lines, the construction of new transformer substations and distribution networks, lighting systems in urban and rural areas allows the energy system of the region to develop to a fundamentally new level.
