SECCA visit to Turkmenistan: exchange of experience in the field of energy and climate policy modeling

Experts and international consultants of the European Union project "Sustainable Energy Relations in Central Asia" visited Turkmenistan from March 31 to April 4 of this year.

During the visit, they held meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and specialists of the United Nations Development Program project "Sustainable Cities in Turkmenistan: Integrated Development of Green Cities in Ashgabat and Avaza", with whom they discussed the results of their joint work and plans for 2025.

The experts handed over to the Ministry of Energy the first technical document, "Recommendations on safety measures for the operation of electrical installations," as part of the technical assistance provided. In cooperation with the Ministry, SECCA project specialists held two international conferences.

SECCA experts also visited the construction site of the new building of the State Energy Institute in the Mary city. They got acquainted with the implemented energy efficiency technologies and discussed the possibility of awarding the building a "Green Certificate" after completion of construction.
