The 7th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among the top league clubs started with matches in Mary, the city of Turkmenbashy and Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat.

The first game to end was in the Babarap gengeshlik of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat, where «Ashgabat», as the nominal home team, hosted «Ahal», which leads the tournament table.

The match was a close contest for most of the match. «Ashgabat» responded to Meylis Diniyev's goal in the 23rd minute with a precise strike from Oraz Orazov in the 54th minute. After that, the hosts held the score at 1:1 for a long time. However, Meylis Diniyev scored two more goals from the penalty spot in the 74th and 90th minutes, making his first hat-trick this season. The same result, but in favour of the home team, was recorded in the city of Turkmenbashy, where the local «Shagadam» met with the outsider of the national championship, Ashgabat's «Kopetdag». The goals of the winners were scored by Mekan Ashyrov (28th minute), Yhlas Mahtymov (71st), Yagshysahet Dovletgeldiyev (82nd) and Amir Gurbani (90+3). The goal of the losers of prestige was scored by Orazgeldi Seydiyev (67th).

In another match in Mary, the capital's «Altyn Asyr», thanks to the efforts of Zafar Babajanov in the 88th minute, won against «Merv» - 1:0. The home team finished the game with a man down due to the removal of Merdan Durdymuhammedov in the 91st minute.

After these games, the top three increased their lead over their pursuers. Ahal, having extended its winning streak to three matches, strengthened its lead with 15 points. «Altyn Asyr» is still two points behind. And «Shagadam» closes the top three with 11 points.
