190 works were presented by students and teachers of the State Academy of Arts at the exhibition dedicated to the Day of the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the State Flag of the country.

Almost every exhibition in the gallery of the Academy promises a pleasant discovery of a new work. Such a work at this exhibition was the painting by Annasoltan Hojayeva «Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Peace and Trust».

Annasoltan captured with photographic accuracy the final of the gala concert with the participation of foreign artists at the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly. All the participants of the concert came out to bow to the audience, as a sign of gratitude, the audience stood up, applauding the singers and musicians. Among the artists there are many recognizable faces: Atageldi Garyagdyyev, Atajan Berdiyev, Leyli Okdirova, Hemra Rejepov, Eldar Ahmedov and others.

The painting also depicts a fragment of the orchestra pit with musicians and cameramen among the audience. Everything is like in life. And above the stage, as a leitmotif to what was happening, Annasoltan wrote out Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s poem «Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust», which brought a political tone to the picture.

The collective work «Women of the World» is also impressive, in which seven women from different countries united by the Great Silk Road are presented in national costumes. A woman acts in society as a keeper of the hearth. She needs peace to raise children. She is most interested in peaceful cooperation between nations.

We asked how this work was created. It turned out that third-year students of the graphics department were given the task of drawing one representative of the countries through which the Great Silk Road passed. In the background of the painting are iconic modern and ancient architectural structures, at the bottom are camel trade caravans.

There are many interesting paintings at the exhibition, for example, «Dance of Friendship» by Ayna Atamyradova, «Music of Independence» by Merjen Kamiyeva, «Happy Childhood» by Ayzada Pirlekova and others.

The most common theme in the paintings of artists is a happy childhood. And another memorable detail of the exhibition is doves. There are many of them in paintings, sculptures, ceramics and design works. After all, the dove is a symbol of peace.
