The grand opening of the international festival "Music of the World", which was attended by artists from China, France, Iran, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, took place in the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in a concert format.

All participants of the festival dedicated their performances to the motto of the year of our country – "International Year of Peace and Trust", finding a response in their hearts. The "Music of the World" festival was opened by Rejep Rejepov's song "Turkmenistan" performed by the State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klichev and soloist People's Artist of Turkmenistan Atageldi Garyagdiev. This patriotic piece was proudly performed, setting the tone and setting a high performance standard for other festival participants.

The motives of the folklore of Iran were perceived by the listeners in an original way, expanding the knowledge of the ethnomusicology of the neighboring country. Mozart performed by an opera diva from the People's Republic of China sounded extremely interesting. The instrumental piece "Merjenler" was memorably performed by the author of the work from the Russian Federation, Mammad Huseynov, and the violin part was performed by Bahram Doliev.

Azerbaijani and Armenian performers showed off their skills. Darya Huseynova's amazing soprano captivated all the audience without exception. The song "My Ashgabat", beautifully performed by Bashkir singer Rim Rakhimov, caused shouts of "Bravo!" in the audience. The famous piece "The Expanses of Turkmenistan", which was performed by all participants of the "Music of the World" festival, completed the first day of the concert festival.

Beautiful voices, virtuoso performance of musicians, personal charm of artists – all this gave the audience a sense of celebration, a desire to live in peace and trust with each other, regardless of the territory of residence. The International Festival “Music of Peace” sounded like a call for happiness through peace on earth.
