From 21st to 24th of May, the International Youth Forum with the participation of Central Asian countries and the member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf is being held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
The forum brought together more than 100 delegates from the participating countries. Turkmenistan is represented at the forum by a delegation that includes representatives of the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, employees of the «Turkmenistan» newspaper, teachers and students of higher educational institutions of the country.
The event is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries of the regions, as well as expanding the contribution of young people to sustainable development.
Speaking at the forum on behalf of Turkmenistan, young scientists, IT specialists, cultural figures, student volunteers and young ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals actively share their views, initiatives and experience in various areas of international cooperation.
The forum includes events dedicated to such topics as innovation, youth entrepreneurship, ecology, education, sports, culture, youth diplomacy, volunteering and media. Among such events are exhibitions, sports competitions, presentations of IT projects, music concerts and others.
Following the forum, it is planned to adopt the Dushanbe Declaration.
Regular participation of Turkmen youth in such international forums helps to unlock the potential of youth and promote initiatives aimed at peaceful and sustainable development, and is also a clear indication of the successful implementation of the state youth policy of Turkmenistan, as well as the Strategy for International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030.
