On the initiative of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of the country held a concert of the Turetsky Choir and sopranos at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theatre with great success.

“Apple and pear trees were in bloom…” («Расцветали яблони и груши…») – the concert opened without announcing the song’s authors, and the audience immediately recognized the legendary “Katyusha”, without which no concert dedicated to the glorious Victory of the Soviet people over fascism is complete.

What is the secret of the magical success of the creative team of the Turetsky Choir? Firstly, each number is a delightful combination of voices, secondly, it is a story that the Choir members tell from the stage, thirdly, it is light choreography, fourthly, it is natural stage ease. And this list can be continue for a very long time.

The concert program of Russian celebrities included the best songs about war, about Victory and, of course, about peace. Among them are "Three Tankists", "Cossacks", "Smuglyanka", "Dark Night", "Cranes", "Blue Scarf".

A separate part of the concert is songs about Turkmenistan.

"We come to you more than once," said the director of the Choir, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Mikhail Turetsky, addressing the audience, "and each time we admire the fantastic beauty of your capital. This is where the patriotism of the Turkmen people, their love for their country, is manifested.

The Moscow guests performed the song "Ashgabat" based on the poems of the Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. From the Turkmen repertoire, the fiery song “Garagum” and the lyrical “Bibijan” were also performed.

And then children were invited from the audience to the stage. More than three dozen boys and girls joined the Turetsky Choir and performed the song "Let There Always Be Sunshine" («Пусть всегда будет солнце») together with famous singers.

Alexander Alyabyev's romance "Nightingale" ("Соловей") is the crowning number in the program of the Turetsky Choir. The performer of the romance, Mihail Kuznetsov, has a unique male soprano. The audience froze, trying not to miss a single sound of this marvelous performance.

The concert program ended with the song "We wish you happiness!" («Мы желаем счастья вам!») It was performed by both the audience and the stage, because both the artists and the audience, having acquired mutual sympathy during the evening, wished each other happiness.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin, having come out on stage, thanked the talented team and expressed hope that this meeting would not be the last. It will definitely be repeated.
