The Exhibition Center of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan is hosting a personal exhibition of works by sculptor Abdumukhammet Oramadov, who turned 70 this year.

After graduating from the St. Petersburg Art Academy named after Ilya Repin, Abdumukhammet Oramadov began teaching at the Byashim Nurali Children's Art School and devoted almost a quarter of a century to teaching talented children the art of sculpture. At the same time, the artist improved his skills. His creative trips to China for the International Sculpture Symposium in 2001 and 2011 played a great role in this. The artist was lucky enough to participate in exhibitions in other countries, including France, Finland, Russia, and Kazakhstan. But China inspired him to create his most beloved sculptures.

The current exhibition presents a collage of photographs of sculptures by Abdumukhammet Oramadov, including the three-meter art structure "Hormatly", as well as "Näbelli adam", "Abstraction", made in the style of modern art. These works are displayed in the hall in the form of sculptures of small shapes.

Abdumukhammet Oramadov, a native of the Vekilbazar etrap of Mary velayat, is the author of the monument erected on “Inspiration” Alley in the historical center of the capital: Abu Ali Mukhammet As Suli, a famous Turkmen chess player of the Middle Ages, stood thoughtfully over a chess game. It is noteworthy that, along with sculptural works, Abdumukhammet Oramadov presented paintings at the anniversary exhibition. Among them are "Russian Landscape", as a reminder of the student years spent in St. Petersburg, as well as "Portrait of Abdumukhammet Oramadov", painted by teacher Alexander Kravchuk in an academic style.

The painting "Pandemic" from modern works is of interest. In the center is a globe of the Earth, and around it are people from different countries in medical masks. Abdumukhammet Oramadov wanted to show with his work that the peoples of the planet defeated the dangerous virus thanks to solidarity and responsibility for the future, and the medical mask played an important role in this.

Portrait paintings also attract attention. For example, a portrait of a girl with a surprised expression on her face, as well as a portrait of "Gozeli" with eyes shining full of joy.

Abstraction does not let go of the artist in painting either. In the painting "Confusion" each of the numerous characters is busy with their own business, not paying attention to others. And as a result, confusion and turmoil occur.
Visitors are also particularly interested in the design work of Abdumukhammet Oramadov "From the life of fishes". By the way, fish are quite common in the artist's work, but this work is special. It is made of steel rods, and somewhat resembles an aquarium, but the author claims that it is a piece of the ocean, where a very intense, dramatic life of underwater inhabitants takes place.
The artist's work is multifaceted, modern and ambiguous. The artist strives to present some events in his own way. It is not easy to do this, but Abdumuhammet Oramadov succeeds.
