Fashion designer Govher Pirkulieva-Gouvernet, known for her ability to combine oriental flavor and European chic, presented a collection created in honor of the International Year of Peace and Trust at the “Turkmentextile Expo – 2025”.
The “Friendship” collection is distinguished not only by its variety of color solutions, but also by its deep attention to historical motifs and stylization. The fashion designer has conducted extensive research, studying museum exhibits and materials about the ancient civilization of the Oxus civilization in order to recreate the smallest details of this culture in her works.
The collection includes seven designer outfits, including dresses, overalls and corset compositions. Each item is unique and exists in a single copy, which emphasizes its exclusivity.
A special place among the presented models is occupied by original sheepskin coats, richly decorated with historical details. For example, one of them depicts long-haired double-humped camels, referring to the species that lived on these lands thousands of years ago. On the other sheepskin coat, you can see figurines discovered during archaeological excavations. Thus, every modern costume is literally imbued with historical roots.
The collection was enthusiastically received by the public at the fashion show in Ashgabat.
Govher Pirkulieva-Governet actively participates in international fashion events, bringing Turkmen flavor to the world's runways. In winter 2025, her works were presented at Paris Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week. In July, the designer plans to participate in Paris Fashion Week again, continuing to strengthen international ties and demonstrate the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
