The agrarians of the Dashoguz region successfully coped with the annual task of providing the food market with high-quality horticultural and horticultural products. By now, they collected over 4 thousand 640 tons of cabbage, about 8.500 tons of carrots, 17.265 tons of onions, which is much more than planned.

In the region, the volume of production of vitamin products is steadily growing, which makes possible to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the region and supply it to the capital markets and to the wholesale and retail network. This year received about 48.000 tons of potatoes, 1.000 tons of cucumbers, over 14.280 tons of tomatoes, 58.556 tons of melons, which exceeds the target figures. Within the state program of import substitution, private greenhouse facilities have been produced on the territory of the region, such as the greenhouse of the individual enterprise “Altyn gala gurlushyk” in the “Dovletli” association in the S.Niyazov etrap, where 800 tons of tomatoes and other types of vegetable crops will be grown.

As experts mention, high yields of horticultural, horticultural and melon crops were collected through the rational use of sown areas and water resources, selection of varieties that are most adapted to the natural and climatic conditions of the region, marketing planning and active introduction of agricultural innovations.
