The footballers of "Arkadag" defeated the team "Ashgabat" with a crushing score of 7:0 in the rescheduled match of the 6th round of the Turkmenistan Championship among the higher league clubs.

The game took place at the stadium in the city of Arkadag.

In the first half, Vladimir Bayramov's team scored three goals against their opponent, and in the second half – four. Among the current two-time champions of Turkmenistan, Didar Durdyyev, the top scorer of the last two national championships, made a hat-trick (53rd, 58th, and 67th minutes), Begench Akmamedov scored twice (16th and 38th minutes), and Velmyrat Ballakov (20th) and Berdimyrat Rejepov (89th) each scored once.

After this match, Didar Durdyyev, the forward of "Arkadag," took the sole lead in the scorers' race with 10 goals. Two goals behind him are his teammates Altymyrat Annadurdyev and Begench Akmamedov. Five goals each have Ikhlas Saparmamedov ("Arkadag"), Meylis Diniyev ("Ahal"), and Zafar Babajanov ("Altyn Asyr"). Four goals each belong to Abdyresul Abdyyev ("Merv") and Mekan Ashyrov ("Shagadam"). Three goals each have Elman Tagaev and Dayanch Meredov (both "Ahal"), Velmyrat Ballakov ("Arkadag"), Ikhlas Magtymow ("Shagadam"), Byashim Gurbanberdiyev ("Ashgabat"), and Selim Nurmyradov ("Altyn Asyr").

This was the second game between "Arkadag" and "Ashgabat" in the last seven days. In the first, held in the capital at the "Nisa" stadium, the AFC Challenge Cup holder won 2:0.

Having secured their twelfth victory, "Arkadag" strengthened their leadership in the national championship with 36 points, leading by 8 and 11 points respectively over "Ahal" and "Altyn Asyr," who follow them. At the same time, "Arkadag" has played one match less.
