The concert of the American country rock band Jessica Lynn was held with great success at the «Turkmenistan» Cinema and Concert Centre. At a small press conference held before the band's performance, Jessica noted that their creative team can be called a family: Victoria Calamera (mother) plays the keyboard, Peter Calamera (father) plays the bass guitar, Stephen Sterpaci (husband) plays the guitar and only Matt Bauer (family friend) plays the drums.

- I was born in New York, where, by the way, the country style is not very popular, but my father instilled in me a love for the songs of American farmers since childhood, - Jessica Lynn said about herself. - 10 years have passed since the creation of our group, and during this time we have been lucky enough to visit 20 countries. Our performances have found understanding from the public everywhere.

Our rock group is in Turkmenistan for the first time. We were surprised by the cleanliness of your capital. It is felt that Ashgabat residents love their city very much. By the way, an unprecedented case happened to me here: having a master's degree, I teach everyone from all over the world at the Online Academy. And here, on another continent, I was extremely pleased to meet my student Dovran Shammyyev.

From the first chords of her guitar, Jessica charmed the audience with her charm, ease of communication, and openness. The Ashgabat audience perceived the optimistic, cheerful, rhythmic melodies of the rock band's repertoire, intended for relaxation after a hard day's work, with great interest. The fiery melodies and performing skills left no one indifferent.

A surprise for the audience was the performance in a duet with Jessica Lynn by our compatriot Dovran Shammyyev. Together they performed a medley of popular songs by Duffy, Winehouse and Ray Charles. The audience received this performance with thunderous applause.

Jessica's fiery performance achieved its goal - some of the audience began to dance in the aisle. And Jessica began to accompany them on percussion instruments.

The final number of the concert was another surprise - the famous Turkmen jazz singer Maysa Niyazova came on stage. Together with Jessica Lynn, she performed the popular song «I have everything to become a real woman» (Shania Twain). And again, the audience heard thunderous applause.

Congratulations, flowers and souvenir photographs ended the concert of the American rock band, which added a bright page to the cultural cooperation of the two countries. The initiators of the concert were the Embassy of the United States of America in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

- I was lucky to receive an unforgettable gift, - says Dovran Shammyyev in an interview for the readers of our newspaper. – In 2022, the «American Music Abroad» Online Academy selected aspiring performers from a dozen countries. I was chosen from Turkmenistan. We were divided into groups and given a mentor who taught us about the music business, marketing, organising concerts and tours, and revealed other secrets of a successful career for independent artists. Jessica Lynn became my mentor. Her advice was very valuable to me. I was very happy when I found out that she was coming to Turkmenistan with a concert and I was offered to perform with her in the same number. I hope our duet with Jessica pleased the audience.
