The "Balkan" shipbuilding and ship repair plant, together with the South Korean company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd., is constructing two bulk carriers, each with a carrying capacity of 6,100 tons. The project is being implemented as part of the development of international relations and the improvement of the country's transport sector.
The vessels under construction comply with global shipbuilding standards. The construction work is carried out at a high technical level using Korean technology and expertise. Alongside the shipbuilding activities, the plant has received certification to conduct testing of welded components. Based on a certificate from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, the company’s laboratory received the right to carry out seven types of inspections. This approach allows the plant to independently monitor the quality of welded joints during the shipbuilding process.
