A delegation from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, consisting of four specialists, underwent an intensive training program in Customs Risk Management at the Shanghai Customs College. The training course was held from July 1 to July 14, 2025, with the support of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The event brought together delegates from across Central Asia.

During the program, participants learned about China’s experience in forecasting and preventing customs risks and were introduced to the intelligent technologies used in customs control in China. The course also included an overview of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program, the "Smart Customs" system, and the "Single Window for Export and Import Operations" system.

As part of the practical training, participants visited an intelligent checkpoint, an automated terminal, the Asia-Pacific Market, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Center, manufacturing enterprises, and logistics hubs.

A representative of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan gave a presentation on the operation of the national risk management system, highlighting the progress made in the digitalization of customs activities in Turkmenistan and in risk assessment analysis. The presentation attracted considerable interest and served as the basis for constructive dialogue with foreign colleagues.

Participation in this program is considered an important step towards implementing the world’s best practices in the work of the Turkmen customs service.
