Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in a regional seminar organized by the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan). This was reported on the website of the customs department of Turkmenistan.
The event was organized from 8 to 11 July 2025 as part of the Central Asia and Caucasus Security Project (CCASP), supported by the Government of Japan.
The aim of the seminar, which involved representatives of customs administrations from eight countries in the region, was to strengthen cooperation between Central Asian and Caucasus countries in combating the illicit movement of small arms, light weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Issues of strengthening interdepartmental cooperation in ensuring security and coordinating regional exchange of experience were also discussed.
