On July 28-29, 2025, a regional training seminar on the topic "Security and Risk Management in Sea Ports" took place at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.

The training was organized by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). In addition to representatives from Turkmenistan, the seminar was attended by delegates from Azerbaijan, Albania, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, UNODC staff, and other international partners. During the event, special attention was given to expanding international cooperation in the field of maritime transport.

Participants highly appreciated the conditions created within Turkmenistan’s customs authorities for carrying out proper control, as well as the potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
