During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution according to which the Ministry of Communications is defined as the authorized body responsible for electronic documents, the corresponding document circulation, digital services, and the operation of electronic government.

This measure is aimed at ensuring the tasks provided for in legislative acts adopted to develop a high-tech and competitive digital economy through the widespread introduction of digital systems in sectors of the national economy.

It should be recalled that these tasks are regulated by the Laws of Turkmenistan "On Electronic Document, Electronic Document Management and Digital Services" and "On Electronic Government." These documents are designed to promote the coordination of interdepartmental activities of state bodies through information systems.

On this topic, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that purposeful work is underway in Turkmenistan for the broad implementation of digital systems in economic sectors and the development of the digital economy.
