Farmers of Akdepe etrap in Dashoguz velayat are currently conducting winter wheat sowing in an organized manner. This responsible activity was preceded by a thorough approach to preparing the land plots, with all necessary agronomic measures carried out in a timely manner. This, along with the etrap being supplied with all required resources and the effective use of specialized machinery, has allowed for maintaining a high pace of sowing work from the very first days of the campaign. As of today, seeds have already been planted in the soil on nearly one thousand hectares.

Smooth work is being carried out to lay the foundation for the future harvest in the dayhan (farmer) associations “Agzybirlik,” “Taze Durmush,” “Turkmenistan,” and others. As seed material, the etrap uses well-proven winter wheat varieties suitable for the local weather and climate conditions, such as “Sakhrai,” “Bezostaya-100,” and “Alekseevich.” Local dayhan farms are also actively sowing winter wheat.

It should be recalled that Akdepe etrap is one of the largest producers of wheat in the velayat. Its agricultural workers understand that the timely sowing largely determines the further successful development of plants, including how well the wheat will survive the winter period and grow quickly in the spring.

Winter wheat sowing is also proceeding at a rapid pace in other etraps of the region.
