Political, economic and social processes in the world today objectively require a decisive turn towards coordinated interaction among states and international organizations in order to achieve a common primary goal. Therefore, a key direction of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the United Nations is ensuring international peace and security, in which our country is ready to take practical actions. This was stated by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov from the podium of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

"Being aware of its responsibility as a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan is ready to begin implementing further practical steps aimed at creating an atmosphere of cooperation, mutual understanding, and respectful dialogue as the main and defining condition capable of ensuring stability and sustainable development on global and regional levels," emphasized the President of Turkmenistan.

The head of state, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, also expressed confidence that currently one of the most effective mechanisms in promoting and achieving these goals is the practical application of the principles of neutrality.
