During the International year of peace and trust, marked by the glorious 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, production facilities under the Ministry of energy of Turkmenistan are successfully carrying out targeted work. This is clearly demonstrated by the work being carried out at the «Avaza» state power plant, located near the city of Turkmenbashy in the «Avaza» National tourist zone in the Balkan velayat.

The power plant provides uninterrupted power to numerous hotels of various sizes, sanatoriums, complexes and facilities, recreational and health centres, and social and cultural buildings. Furthermore, the plant is crucial for meeting the electricity needs not only of the Balkan velayat but of the entire country.
The station is equipped with powerful gas turbines and reliable equipment from leading global manufacturers. A distinctive feature of the power station is that each turbine operates autonomously. To create the appropriate conditions for the high-tech electronic equipment, an artificial microclimate is constantly maintained.

To ensure the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the turbines, a 14.5-kilometer fuel pipeline has been laid here, connected to an automated gas distribution station. An open distribution device and a complex of powerful equipment connect the turbine to the electrical systems of the city of Turkmenbashy, located on the coast of «Avaza». This important facility includes three main and 15 small substations. In this way, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to the tourist zone is crucial for the smooth operation of the power systems.
Since the beginning of this year, power engineers of «Avaza» have generated 870 million 506 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity. This figure exceeds the planned figures by 20 million 506 thousand kilowatt-hours. Furthermore, the production growth rate has increased to 110 percent. Despite these achievements, the power engineers are not content with these milestones and are increasing their work pace daily. This will give the hardworking power engineers wide opportunity to celebrate the glorious 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality with worthy results.
