This year, the oilseed crop was cultivated and harvested from 560 hectares in the velayat. The average yield amounted to ten centners per hectare. Among the main producers of this valuable raw material are farmers from the Kunyaurgench and S. Turkmenbashi etraps.

It is worth noting that the oilcake formed during oil production is a valuable feed for livestock, and the plant’s seeds are used in confectionery and other food industries, as well as in traditional medicine.
