In the fields allocated for crop rotation along the Garagum River, farmers of Balkan velayat are currently at the final stage of the autumn sowing of wheat, thus laying a solid foundation for the future harvest. The timely work, organized and carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards, is conducted using advanced technologies and combines ancient farming traditions with modern best practices.
In previous years as well, the Balkan grain growers achieved high and abundant yields, making a worthy contribution to the food abundance of our country. They were among the first in the nation to successfully fulfill their contractual obligations for the procurement of food wheat in the International Year of Peace and Trust, during which the 30th anniversary of our Permanent Neutrality is also being widely celebrated.
At present, farmers are actively sowing winter wheat, the seeds of which have been tested in the soil and climatic conditions of the region. The machine operators and engineering-technical specialists of the production association “Balkanobahyzmat” and its enterprises in the etraps are making a significant contribution to the sowing of winter wheat. Of the 50,000 hectares planned for the velayat, more than 86 percent have already been sown in accordance with agrotechnical requirements.
In the important work being carried out in the Gyzylarbat and Bereket etraps, a large group of tractors of various makes are operating without interruption. Specially formed technical service teams are capable of promptly addressing any malfunctions that arise during the season.
The current pace of work in the velayat’s sowing areas demonstrates that a solid foundation for the wheat harvest is being laid on the fertile Balkan land, and the sowing operations will be successfully completed in the near future. This further strengthens confidence that the farmers’ high goal of harvesting 80,000 tons of wheat in 2026 will be achieved.
