An exhibition of paintings by teachers of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan has been organized at the Exhibition Center of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan in anticipation of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence. Sixteen teachers participated, showcasing 83 original paintings. During the opening ceremony, M. Yazmuradov, the Chairman of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, awarded all participants with Honorary Certificates.

This year, in a solemn atmosphere in commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen literature, Makhtumkuli Fragi, and in his honor, a new cultural and park complex of the capital was opened in the foothills of the Kopetdag. It is symbolic that this large-scale object, in addition to the majestic monument to Magtymguly, includes an alley of famous poets and thinkers from different countries and eras, which emphasizes its significance in the context of friendship between peoples and the unity of the cultural heritage of mankind.

Theatres and circuses of Turkmenistan opened the new season on the 1st of September with performances, many of which are dedicated to the life and work of the great classical poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, and exciting circus shows. The Main Drama Theatre named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy the Great invited spectators to the play «Magtymguly-köňül guşy», and the National Drama Theatre of Turkmenistan named after Alp Arslan - to the play «Akyldar».
